Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

thanks for the love. it's a big change from the tk2 it replaces but i'm all about it so far.

i'll agree with you on the hubs— ideally they'd be superbe pros or promax. but for a street wheelset they've held up for two years with one truing and the bearings are still smooth, so i'm not in a hurry to switch them up.

I like the "wood" rims with the tan frame. I think a Brooks Swallow would look great on that. Minus the pink clips.

The bike actually started with a brooks swallow, I took it off to put on my affinity frame. I am thinking about putting a celeste saddle and grips on there.

Sixty Fiver, that bike looks hard to pedal and control as a fixie. It makes you look strong.

It's a Gusset Slink chain. The price was right, and uber strong. And I like how it looks.

I doubt it's any stronger than a 510hx, but it looks cool and it allows you to fine tune where your axle sits in the track ends without having to use a half link.

first that is cool, but A. why does it look like it has a roughly 1:1 drive ratio you would go nowhere on that thing? spinout at like 10mph??

Edit: Also the frames BB geometry reminds me of Obree's Old Faithful, and i wonder if it has that really narrow BB?

i am thinking it is a bmx also, since im pretty sure those are Carbon BMX racing wheels which iv seen on my bmx bike. If it is a "bmx" bike and not just a 20" wheel bike then i assume it is for downhill racing??
