Looking for some advice now, I have 42cm bullhorns and like them, but want something more narrow. Probably stick with bullhorns, actually leaning toward Nitto RB 002, anyone have experience or opinions of these bars?

They are not like mustache bars at all, ancient or modern. Mustache bars have no tops/flats to hold, and the 'drop' part goes straight back. Dirtdrops flare, have drops and have tops. Even the ones I use have minimal drop to them. The origin8 ones are the closest to mustache bars but still, this

I like Drops on the track, where they belong, horns for go fast days and steeper geo, and risers for everything else.

Ok, sorry for this really silly question... I can't seem to understand the difference(s) between "regular" road drops (Maes bend) and track drops. Can somebody please enlighten me?
I'm not liking the upward bend of my randonneur drops now. They turn upward from the bars exit of the stem..if that makes any sense.

Typical track drops curve forward almost immediately, such that they don't have a straight flat section on the tops to place your hands. Basically, they are designed to be ridden on the drops only.

the other day I scored some cinelli pista drops with a 110 cinelli stem (for free, so literally "score!"). put them on my bike and nearly killed myself not having enough area for my hands to control my bike. rode around a bit more and realized that the bars were only comfortable in the drops which was completely impractical for riding in traffic. went home and switched back to my syntace stratos.
...seriously, I need to know how anyone rides track drops in traffic. it just seems ridiculous.

the main problem with rando bars, at least from nitto, is that the top hood section is too narrow to be usable.
on 40cm nitto B-135 rando bars the tops are 35cm wide, while even the very narrow women's drop bars have 36cm widths
So, for me, the hoods are useless at 35cm and the tops are useless because they make my hands bend funny and uncomfortably on top of being too narrow. The drops are the only usable part of the bars.
I swapped out my B-135 for some B-105 in the same width and they are much more comfortable.
If nitto made some rando bars in size... oh... 45~50cm or something and reduced the amount of flare at the tops, then I can see it being useful, as it'll give useful widths at the hoods and a comfortable flat portion for the tops.
