Jamis Sputnik Loving time, yah baby!
So, i've seen quite a few sputniks on the forum now so I think it may be okay to make a thread dedicated to this sick ass Bike. Here are a few of mine I snapped while waiting for pupusa's. I wrapped a punctured tube around my Top Tube for protection/get rid logos, I hate logos. But it's not quite done yet. anyway, heres some pics.

What's wrong with the newest Sputnik, besides the inflated price? It looks better than the old ones with hundreds of logos.

It's all in the specs. Other then poorer quality steel on the Sputnik and beatnik in 2011. I wish I could find the Geo on a 2007 sputnik.

Reynolds 520 for $650? Other than the nicer rear dropouts, pedals and saddle, how is it better than a Kilo TT?

the higher the head angle the steeper the geometry = less relaxed position.
higher ht/st is associated with track bikes. ex: 75/75
super high st is associated with time trial bikes. ex: 73/78
road: 73/73
touring bikes have slacker angles all around and longer wheelbases.
etc.

56.6mm c-t seat tube, 57mm effective top tube, 73.5˚ head tube, 73˚ seat tube, 405mm chain stay lenght, 1027mm wheelbase, 40mm for rake, 142mm head tube, 275mm bottom bracket height and 820mm standover.
Rather relaxed geometry, very road-worthy frame.

I loved mine...great bike. I wish I had some pics of how it looked at the end. I put a few stickers on it, wrapped up a lot of the logos in electrical tape and had bullhorns with no brakes. It looked good.

dookie that's sexy as all get out. I feel like I'd get arrested for riding that in public. ''sir. This city frowns on doing that around the youth''
what kind of fork is that?

without a doubt thats the sexiest sputnik i've seen. I also now need another bike part I can't afford. I'm totally getting a woundup fork for my Sputnik and throwing the Easton on my next build.
