Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Opinions on on my wheel build train of thought

Alright, no matter how absurd/ illogical what I'm going to type after this is going to sound, please give me your honest and well thought out opinions please.

I was thinking of doing this; 32H h plus son formation face (double walled) laced to a philwood high flange hub radially with sapim cx rays. What I'm getting at is the extra strength of the cx ray spokes, the deeper rim, and more durable hub (yes phil allows radial lacing), will make up for the radial lacing somewhat...
The idea just popped up as I was staring at the sad little orphan phil hub sitting on my desk.

sure, deep pockets.

How much do you weigh?

Edit: ooof. There goes my idea of every other hole and cramben lips with specific hole count. Below. Stealth like that.

170ish; most likely less because I've been depressed rather recently.... but I ride pretty aggressively.

Even stealthier. You should drink more beer. Get back up to your natural weight.

I see nothing wrong with this train of thought. I'd jump on board if I had a phil hanging on my desk.

I see nothing wrong either. As soon as my spokes get here, I'm lacing a Formation Face to a Phil for the back of my 725 too.

not as sketch as my 32h old dura ace laced to a 16h eai super arrow with spokes i found kicking around the shop.

the only really sketchy part is that the hub was previously laced. thinking about buying a cheap new 32h and redoing it so i don't mess up anything actually valuable
