Today I paid off my new bike, and will be picking it up from the LBS tonight, then riding home! Stoked to be back on a bike, not stoked about the high of 54 and rain forecast for tonight.

Nothing like a chilly wet ride to break in your new bike! Have fun!

Today my burrito turned into a taco salad within two bites. It was like magic.

The fruits of supporting my LBS is paying off quite well for me. Phil BB put in its place, on the house.

Called me one of their best customers through. I wonder why... ¬.¬

Well it's a local bike shop. We have a bunch down here. Anyhow it's the act that counts and supporting local businesses FTW.

Finished rebuildling my IRO. I had to file the canti posts down on my replacement fork in order to get the bolt tight enough to remove slop. It was equally terrifying.

Had a closer encounter with a raccoon in my backyard. Thought it was my cat, so went about the "Aww, come inside little guy," routine while making dumb cat noises. Flicked on the light and realized it was about the size of a nice dog, went "OH ****!!!" and it fell out of the tree and ran away.

whoa. not good. seen too many pets killed by racoons. our answer was to pop one in their head, put'em in a vinegar brine and bake wrapped in tin foil. makes them much more friendly and tasty.

The spring holes aren on the outside of the studs, opposite of practically every brake (thanks, Raleigh!). I have been looking for anything that doesn't use the spring tension holes. I didn't even think about SRAM, thanks

Today I got into an accident with another cyclist and almost jacked him in the face for being an idiot. Close call.

But now my SLR is very scuffed up and I'm upset.

today a good friend of a friend came by to give me some tips on installing flooring.

he then proceeded to explain how the original[and in my opinion, destroyed] 3/4" 1940s hardwood that was under my old carpet could be restored. he starts mid next week for half the price of what i was going to spend on flooring in the first place.

im about to start putting up my ceiling and all the wallboard but i think i had too many tallboys this afternoon to be effective. good thing someone who knows what they are doing is coming over.
