Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Well since we are picking favorites

I love this bike, the frame is so neat. I could just hang it on the wall.

I'm old too. This one and your age always surprise me. Is it for "feeling young and frisky" days?

The only time I feel old is when I look in the mirror.

My only fixed gear bike and what I use to ride to class, etc. Nice road bike doesn't get locked up outside, but this one does because I paid less than $300 for it.

Great bikes!
But I love this bike, so nice, and unlike TT's bike I can actually fit on this one.

It's funny because my motorcycles MUST be the opposite. Hard core race replica utilitarian tools, CF and titanium bits, with no sense of humor whatsoever.

But the bicycles get the goofball treatment/

Thanks. I need this SNOW to melt and for my foot to finish healing. 2.5 weeks to full weight bearing. Happy New Year!

If you ever visit the area we can take a nerd cruise.

Yeah. It's pretty crazy and seems to keep pushing my fascination with absurdly painted bikes.

I don't have any SS/FF here in the mountains so I will post a pic i took a few weeks ago.
I have wheel flipped over to the freewheel for this trail. 65 gear inches so i have to walk the bigger hills.
