But get something in writing from him saying he received in perfect condition and the damage was caused by his own fault.
This attempt to repair is a totally seperate transaction and the buyer understands that.
(maybe the email chain is enough, but asking him to sign something to send along with the frame is not a bad idea)
If it gets ugly, it could be seen as you agreeing to fix the damage as a condition of the sale if it is not written down.

Yeah no I totally agree. I'm not blaming you or demanding money or to replace parts.. I just have no idea how it happened nor have the knowledge to install the parts.. I appreciate any help you can provide to get me back on the road

Sounds like the situation is as good as it can be given the circumstances. It would be sad to be in that person's shoes; I'm glad they are behaving in a seemingly dignified manner. It is good of you to help, and great that you're basically in a no-lose situation.

Fresh Garbage
I had a vegetarian dinner with my metal head friends. It was pretty great listening to some brutal stuff while cooking and then sitting down to eat with calmer Black Sabbath playing lightly in the background. Damn I wish I had some left overs right now. I dont really want to ride my bike today because I feel like some aggro black friday shopper is going to run me down

today i did an extremely satisfying 45 miles in 2:35. this same ride back in may took me 4:45, ive come a long way

if ur riding like that regularly u may want a bike with bottle cages and brake(s). its a functionality thing.

Damn, I do need some bottle cages. I think I might go to Bens and take advatange of the 20% of sale (not that it's that much of a deal anyway) for some tools and mic stuff.

I did get an aquarack thats serving me nicely so far, especially since the water fountains are off for winter lol
Think im ok without brakes for the most part, not a lot of stoppage or elevation on my island
been thinking about this for a while and im not sure what i want more yet (read: first), cross bike or roadie
also not very knowledgeable in the world of maintaining and tuning gears and brakes so im a little hesitant
