Rear Dropout Wear

I have been swapping out my rear wheel twice a week 48/16 for the weekends, 48/19 for commuting. I am seeing some wear (as one would expect) on my rear dropouts and I am concerned that eventually I will mess up my frame. Is there anything I can do aside from discontinuing my weekly swaps? Maybe some sort of dropout cover or repair method I can use down the line? Am I just being paranoid? Thanks.

Are you using track nuts or plain serrated nuts?

I have a Kilo WT https://www.bikesdirect.com/products/.../kilott_wt.htm. Steel frame and track nuts (assuming those are the 1st picture). I try not to over-torque. Just enough so that I feel it won't move when I ride.

I also have a Kilo WT. What you are doing is gouging the paint mostly, which is a cosmetic but not a functional problem. Those dropouts are stamped and made from somewhat soft steel material, so they will eventually wear out, but that will be many years from now. Better quality frames like the Leader 722ts have thicker hardened cast dropouts that will last nearly forever. If you are really concerned about this, you can install tug nuts, and the track nuts will press on the tugnut instead of the dropout. Also, you don't need to tighten the track nuts as much with the tug nuts. Are you greasing the axle threads before you tighten the track nuts? Are the floating washers on the track nuts remaining stationary when you tighten the track nuts?

The floating washers have remained stationary as far as I can tell. I will add a bit of grease to the axle threads going forward though. Sounds like paranoia was the real problem here. If the wear ever becomes a true issue I will just install tug nuts then. Thanks!!!
