Hmm, OCD and fixed gear where you can't stop pedaling. A connection? It might explain me

Great vid, thanks! What about risers for the Bianchi? (second part of my original question)

You'd put risers on a Bianchi?
Isn't that some form of heresy? I'm sure they won't work with them purely on principle.

Almost certainly. I'm sure Scrod will set us right. Do I suspect a 10% surcharge on my next order from him?

Instead of reading through 369 pages to see if it's been asked: What bike do you ride daily to work or which one do you ride the most?

I don't see anything wrong with putting risers on it but if you're going for 'townie', why not use townie bars of some sort?

Because my left hand is still bandaged up, gripping a handlebar is a bit of a challenge so I've been cruising on my Fuji townie. My Thunderdome is usually my daily rider.

Track stand

Hey Scrod,

Sorry for all these less than brilliant questions but thanks for putting up with the noobs.

My latest question concerns track standing. Does fork rake and the resulting trail of a bike effect the ease of track standing? I know that it takes some practice but falling, with both feet strapped in at a stop light is quite embarrassing. I've done this. I was just curious if 53 mm of trail is making mastering this technique a bit more challenging.

He punched out a customer who walked into his store asking to buy a single Tektro cross lever.

Yes, a bike having a slack head tube angle or a fork with more rake will naturally be more difficult to keep steady while trackstanding because the front end will be more squirrely as the bars turn, especially at very low speed or while stopped.

Do you know anything about the availability of the 2015 model fizik saddles? Specifically i am looking for the aliante r3 or r5. Are these available yet or any idea when you might be able to get them?

Thanks.

Scrod, is it possible to get parts for Park Tools? I have the shafts for 4 Park HHP-2 bearing press tools that I won in an auction, but I am missing the other 4 parts that complete the tool. The two stepped bushings are readily available on the web but I need the two end pieces to make a complete tool. Any place you know of that sells these?

Be sure to come back on a day we're open!

We probably won't do any in-store "Black Friday" sales but will most likely have some sort of Cyber-Monday something-or-other happening online.

Hey Scrod,

Thanks for the Hozan pliers, super impressed with how quick they got here to the land of Skippy. I'd forgotten how well they worked; I got a pair of wheels with Campy record hubs, and was chewing the sh** out of the Campy locking with my locking tool.
