Stiff sole, super comfy, durable, well-fitted, versatile, stain resistant, affordable ($60), wide selection of sizing (I'm a 4.5 in US Mens which is pretty hard to find). I have used Sambas as daily work shoes as a janitor in an event/sports arena, barista at an ice cream shop, and two different movie theater jobs. They have been covered in ice cream, chocolates, syrup, caramel, fudge, hot coconut oil, "butter" popcorn topping, blood, feces, vomit, and every kind of candy and beverage you can think of... And they never had a single stain. Sambas 4 lyfe, yo.

I have a pair of custom Samba's... were well over $60, but I like the suede better than the other leather.

Quick pic incase anyone's interested.

I also have a pair of Chrome Midway's I got on sale. Meh. When I ride with them I get hotspots on my feet, for some reason they don't work with pedals I have very well.

No way, man. As much as I do like Vans, Sambas and Gazelles are much better for riding.

To be nostalgic, I once had a pair of black Sambas with rasta stripes that were my favorite shoe ever but they got stolen from me while on tour with my old band. Who steals the bass player's shoes???

We're talking about what shoes we ride with, so that seems reasonable.

Samba's. All day everyday. I play soccer, so I usually have a pair of flats around, and they're great. Sole is stiff when you're riding, and they feel more flexy and comfortable when you're running/walking around.

I used to own Sambas and loved them, but it seems harder to find the longer tongue these days without buying online.

Really? I was walking through Kohl's, and I saw a pair of Samba classics with the high tongue. Only like $50 I think too.

There are no Kohl's where I am at right now, and none of the sports stores seem to carry them. Oh well, not a big deal. I ride clipless anyway.

Thats odd. None at all? You ask for them to find out what the deal is?
