My first fixie century

I rode my first fixie century yesterday. The ride was actually 120 miles and has quite a bit of climbing. I had done the ride once before with gears and decided to have a go without. Ended up being 1/2 hr slower (6 1/2 hrs) but I was happy to just complete the ride without having to get off and rest or walk any of the hills.
Here is a pic of the bike. It is a Cervelo P2k underneath the custom "paint".
Rode it with a 77" gear.

Congratulations! I love loooooong rides. I'm not much of a sprinter, but I can hold 18-20mph for hours on end.

I do have two questions though.

1: Left side drive or mirrored picture? 2: Why the hell would you do that to a Cervelo?

I don't know what I can say about that; but good job!
Nothing beats the feeling of achievement when you finish.

It is left side drive.
I had the frame laying around and thought I may as well turn it into something I could ride.

Good answer I suppose. I'm just not a fan of animal print/flashy frames, but that's me. Why left side?

Congrats on your century!

Interesting left side drive there. I'm assuming this is a captain crankset? Did you use spare parts or is there reason why you choose to run left side drive?

It was all done with spare parts I had. When I fitted the cranks the correct way the left crank didn't clear the left chain stay. Then I noticed that everything cleared if I put them on backwards.
The frame also needed a repaint so decided to spray it with contact glue and cover it with animal print fur, just for a bit of fun.
It only took a couple of hours and cost $20 for the glue and material.

I was unable to read your post because the leopard print on that frame temporarily blinded me. I hope I am typing this in the right spot.

Loctite isn't like welding. You could crack them loose still, I'd imagine it would just take a bit of man strength.

I haven't had any trouble with the pedals coming loose. I just did them up tight, but not especially so, and they have been good. No loctite. Just the opposite actually as I put some anti-seize on the threads. I carry a 15mm spanner to remove the wheels in case of a puncture, which will also work for the pedals, but as said above it hasn't been required.
