Yah yah, I didn't order the fork though. Looking to get a threaded chrome fork, maybe straight bladed.

I've got my new stem, bars, bar end levers, pedals/cages/straps on. Next up, headset (since the one on my Kilo is already jacked up), brake cables, 17T cog, white bar tape and white saddle.

I'm pretty anxious about how the bike is going to turn out. All my contact points are white... I'm metiticulous about cleaning but sometimes **** just gets dirty.

bullhorns with bar ends:

here's what I'm really double thinking: all white pedals.

I know it will look a lot better with a white saddle and bar tape, but I think the silver crank is still going to clash. I could switch the crankset for an all black one, but hot damn I'll need to buy a whole new frame for all the parts I've taken off!

If you do, don't forget that RG has one for only $68 >>> https://www.retro-gression.com/produc...ed-chrome-fork

Keep in mind the crown race is a little bit un-standard (not 26.4) race. Wasn't an issue for me since my lbs installed it and they had an extra part for the headset that fit fine. Maybe scrod has the spec on it. If you wanna see it on a a khaki rush, check out my pedal room. So far I love the fork. It was surprisingly light since it's 4130.

Alright cool, good to know. I assume the crown race is 27.0 then?

If you are to stay with your white color theme up top, may I suggest Fizik microtex tape. I rode with my bars wrapped in this tape for 9 months and it never required a ton of maintenance to keep clean. No suggestion on a white saddle though. After a couple rides the synthetic leather was already going blue

Lots of progress on the Soma Rush build. Got some goodies from RG today, and now all that remains is to build my rear wheel and tape my bars. The rim should be here by tomorrow. The khaki green is really darker, but the camera flash makes it look lighter.

Looking good TT! What's your part list? Namely rear hub, saddle, crankset and bars. I'm tempted to start a Soma/Pake megasuperepicthread since so many of us have them. We even have a three page thread for the walmart fixie for crying out loud.

DOOO ITTT!!! My build will be so similar to TT's. I'm looking to doing silver stem/seatpost/crankset. I will even be using the same saddle and bars LOL

Got a blue 722ts on its way with a the matching carbon fork, taking all the parts off of my Maxway when it gets here. Anyone got a good headset recommendation?

Im currently building up my old 70's bottechia with some risers/bar ends, low gearing, and either some singlespeed 26" mtb wheels or just try to squeeze some 700x45c tires on the current wheelset.

Its a pretty frame! Bare metal with chrome front lugs and chainstay

You can never go wrong with the origin 8 sealed bearing headsets... just slapped one on my benotto frame-- cost me like 25 bucks... suuuuuuper smooth

My 721 is in the mail. S300 cranks and a new chain are waiting for it in the garage. Probably going to take it to the LBS for a headset install whenever it arrives. Moto Ace ergo drops, Arione, and Easton stem are also going on. I'll be using my old wheels on it until I get a new set built.

I tend to stay away from Origin8 after cracking a crankset of theirs.
