Force is leaps and bounds above 105 in terms of lightness and performance.

105 is Shimano's workhorse grouppo. It's on par with SRAM Apex/Rival. It's heavier, but bulletproof. If you are deciding between Force and 105 (both of which are within your budget) do not hesitate: go Force.

Source: I have owned and ridden on pretty much every grouppo offered by Shimano and SRAM (never Campy though... go figure).

True that, can't beat the riding weather this time of year here! I'm in St. Pete FL, that pic^ is from Treasure Island Beach which has this cool old FL vibe to it

should have known there'd be more than 1 thunderbird motel down here...i thought that was the one on collins ave in sunny isles, on the north end of miami beach. used to stay there on family vacations when i was a kid.
