Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'd upgrade the front brake first.

Went on a nice ride for my buddies birthday. First sunny day we've had in two weeks. In order my BMC, birthday boys no name amazon bike, buddies converted Centurion Ironman Dave Scott, and borrowed my dads Windsor Oxford Deluxe 3 speed for beer carrying duties.

Tweaked the road setup on the new Super Pista Concept. Removed 15mm of steerer spacers to lower the bars and cut a corresponding 15mm from the steerer. I think I've got things pretty much dialed in now for comfortable road use. Also moved the saddle back to allow more seated climbing. The first photo is the old setup and the second is the new lowered setup.

Set up my Aventon with a very scary wheel (it's an older model so should be safe).

That porch floor looks even scarier.

It really is quite unstable, shakes when I walk on it. Was going to get started on tearing it down and building a new patio, and then winter happened.

Finally put them all together but it's raining now can't try it out.
The tangeseiki headset has some problems with the frameset so I am gonna replace it asap.

This makes absolutely no sense. What "problems" does it have?

He bought one with a 27.0 crown race? It is an odd statement.

So the problem is with you buying the wrong headset, not the headset itself.

Well, technically he never said there was anything wrong with the headset itself, just that it did not work with the frameset. Two completely different things.

Tempo!

Still need to adjust the saddle height/angle and then see if the stem needs to be adjusted.
