What else would it be? Broken Lever? from sitting on a hook? Unless you mean "weak" not "soft"... hydros don't feel 'soft' unless they've leaked and either way the solution is a full bleed.

bleed then pump the lever a few times then test.

Today i: was a bike mechanic for a short while and then got hella bored for most of the rest of the day. Someone buy my mountain bike so i can build another one.

I never understood the mentality of "I can't do this because my girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband wont let me." I mean, unless you're causing yourself harm, putting yourself in immanent danger, or being a prick to them/others, who cares?

There are extremes that I'd agree with but for the most part, your partner should support you in "doing you" pretty much all the time.

Today I bough my buddy's Campagnolo Record groupset (minus cranks). I'll be putting it on my Merckx and ordering a 2006 Record crankset (I want silver cranks, and these look awesome). Getting stoked for this build!

Don't forget to heal up, I see so many bad stretches from people who don't wait to heal. Everyone thought I was insane for my healing times but when it comes time to take jewlery out mine look so much better.

Not necessarily. I have an ex-friend who was afraid to do anything because of what his wife might say.

Not necessarily. I have an ex-friend who was afraid to do just about everything because of what his wife might say.

Example: I called him one afternoon to ask if he wanted to come out and grab some tacos and he said "Ummm...I don't know, man. I really should wait until Kristen gets home to go out anywhere." even though she was working until 10 pm. Mind you, this is the same guy who "isn't allowed" to grow a beard (or a spine, apparently). No time for that ****.

That is sad, but seriously, if I say, "My wife says we can't afford it", the reason is because she does the family financials and I wouldn't know otherwise.

Right? Another good one is that he owns a motorcycle (which he owned pre-marriage) and every time he wants to ride it, his wife says "You know I don't want you riding that thing!" so it just sits in the shed.

I could go on and on with other great examples but I'd be typing all day!

I'm sure it's a lot different when you've got kids. There's also a big difference between not being able to realistically afford something and not being allowed to buy/do it.

im not saying i wasnt allowed to do anything i ever wanted, she made that pretty clear, i just knew to pick my battles and which nonsense issues i didnt want to hear about. its got a lot to do with the fact that i dont have to spend any more money on her now too

granted, this bs has a lot to do with why im not depressed about it being over after 5 years

and for the record, "doing you" for me basically means "doing more than one person"

sometimes you'd rather grab beers with the boys instead of doing some lame activity that she planned for you to do together after work. of course if she's worth it, you'll go and feign interest because both her as a person and her love are important to you.

alternatively, the boys can coax you into grabbing "just a beer, you *****" which may turn into 2 or 3. then you show up late, and you're in trouble.

i realize you got no one to blame but yourself in that situation but its perfectly viable and something to consider before pursuing a srs relationship.

As much as it hurt to break up I felt relieved when it was all over. I was/am working out of depression and whatnot while she was falling in and refusing to confront it. I was getting really tired of that. 3 years done and it is all better now.

just got back from a 30 min run. one of the last "regular" runs ill do before i start ramping up my bike time for next year.

its always weird the way this works for me: right about the time where I get "good" at running (meaning that it non longer feels inherently hard without pushing myself), i stop till the next fall

up next: some ab-work before i go to work-work

so im here at my desk in the dark... its overcast outside and since i was the first one here i wanted to keep it mellow and not turn the lights on.

a manager just walked in and asked: "so why aren't the lights on? i thought that no one was here yet."

me: "no, that's just what it wanted it to seem like"

he got the gist and turned around and left. good man.

This.

Jandro's tip for a successful, fulfilling relationship: look for someone who has their own life outside of you and your relationship. Seriously. Find someone with hobbies, a strong friend group, and a support system that isn't just you. You will thank me later when you're out with your friends, text him/her to say "hey, I'm going to be a bit late, Jesse wanted to grab a beer and it's turned into a bit more than that." or "hey, ride went long, gonna grab some lunch before heading home." and you get a "cool! I'm going to grab food/drinks with Cory and Brooke, see you later! Enjoy your lunch/beer/ride." in response.

It also helps to find someone who understands that your life is your own. Want to grow a beard? **** yeah. Want to shave? Also cool, you're handsome either way. Want to stretch your ears more? Go right ahead, you're not your ears. Those sort of trivialities should never come under pressure from anyone. Except maybe your mom.

/relationship rant
