Fords couldn't get up big climbs until 1940.
I've gone up every route on it on a bike, once geared the rest fixed when west bound on a bike and never felt like I struggled on it, east bound is worse than west bound, but still nowhere as bad as fiddler's elbow. There are tougher climbs in the area.

Black Friday it was miserable out and had been for 2 wks (for NC). I ordered rollers. They came today. Of course tomorrow the high is 73 :-P.
This is like my 6th attempt today (I won't post the crash video but it wasn't that lurid anyway, I was in a doorway). These things are SO FUN! Like learning to ride a bike all over again. Did it again later with clipless shoes and tried to put some RPM on it.... gets scary fast if you start skatin sideways.

Yep. Impulsiveness was at an all time low this year.
Closest thing I came to buying in that time span was a mitutoyo digital caliper on amazon's event which I decided against because I already had its bigger brother.

Today was a good day.
Had the day off randomly. My buddy came over to pick up his wheels, dropped off some brownies. Used his vape, first time, that was cool. Then I had lunch with my brother, first time seeing him in like six months. It was good to catch up. Then I hit another homie and we went to grab a bottle of something, on the way we ran into another bud. Split that three ways, and here I am.
Good night. Hell of Wednesday.
Oh, and my phone has been blowing up, in the good way haha. Life's looking pretty damn good.
School and work tomorrow, gotta play catch up for the day off today. My partner pulled something or something, idk, but we lost a day of work. I don't care, today was a great day.

I went to guitar center on Sunday and they were still having their "Black Friday sale" and I ended up leaving with a special edition telecaster.

Tried a few more times and I find looking farther ahead in trouble and almost even accelerating helps. It is unseasonably warm here (yay) but raining (boo) so an actual training session is in the cards for tonite. got any routines you'd like to recommend (for a moderately fat guy, but with moderately strong legs)

Went to the only LBS on the westside of town today because Mission workshop was having a demo thing for their 2014 line and checked out their bags cause I wanted to see one in person before I dropped dollars. Pretty nice, had to leave before the free beer though and then missed being doored by like 3 inches on the way home.

Holy f__k is riding 20 minutes on rollers *without a fan* sweaty work. Did a few 30 sec seated speed efforts (as fast as I feel comfy with for now)....maybe like 2 min rest, do it again. wwwwaaaaaayyy too bouncy at high rpm. Apparently my stroke sucks.. Next time, I'm bringing a fan and wearing gloves (track grips that are having sweat poured on them are very slippery. I think my hands are crampy).

I wish I had the space for rollers.
Today I put in 30 miles in foggy conditions.

I don't really "train", I just usually use my ride home from work as a warm up ride to get the legs loose and then just do like 30~ minutes roughly of just all out sprint/cool down/sprint/cool down. I don't know if it's effective or anything but I feel good and it's been keeping me in somewhat decent shape during the winter times.

I've discovered that a good sci-fi/action movie actually makes the time pass by relatively quick.

trainers suck so hard man. i spent 1 winter a few years back using one quite regularly for training due to issues and wore myself out mentally for using them at all.
time passes so slow... a 20' interval all out is painful enough, but the time just drags on so slowly on the trainer... agony

i use to put on the morning news from the local station. how much of it I retained was mainly contingent upon what kind of cruel scheme (workout) that I had devised for myself.
