ive had a transient issue with my hip due to crossing my legs in class / then at work but nothing exactly in my legs, nor is there tingling or numbness anywhere @T13

i had hypothesized about sciatica for that when the hip first manifested, but after more than a dozen separate kinds of tests and scans they found nothing, it took a coworker with the same issue a year prior telling me his story to realize what it (probably) was. doctors couldnt find anything, and thats honestly the most depressing part of any medical issue.

he went thru 9 months of pt, medical bills etc. to find out what it was and to get him back to normal. once he told me i stopped crossing my legs and it stopped (mostly)

i kindof think this could all be psychosomatic, this year i broke up with a long term gf, was almost evicted, moved, drama with friends, frustrations and stress living with my aging father.
i forget what its called but i learned about it when i was in EMT school, numerous stresses adding up to create something more significant

A good bodyworker might be able to fix your back. Rolfing a few times a year has worked for me, in tandem with daily yoga practice.

Today I fixed my fork and repacked my headset. I had to straighten the fork because my gf drove under a gate while my bike was on the roof rack. Minor damage but it kept me from riding this bike for several weeks.

Today I hit my max cadence and max speed (on a flat) for 2014; a pretty good way to close out the year I think.

Currently doing some upper body work at home, 4x circuit of: pushups, pullups, dips, planks on all three sides. Later this afternoon I'm going to head out for 1.5 hrs of primarily z2 (endurance), with 2 or 3x 4' anaerobic climbs thrown in to keep my body awake.

In the meantime I am cleaning, doing chores, configuring the new PC that I purchased, and hanging out until the gf gets off work. Then it's over to her place for a proper NYE celebration! We're throwing a party.

Today is a good day.

Nice TMonk!

Today I finished day 15 of my new Kettlebell routine. Got a head start on the new year.

Now off to fix some Hoppin' John and greens, a NYD tradition since I was a kid.

Going insane, been on almost a two week long vacation without bike access. I was heavily considering riding a bike share bike last night.

when someone starts talking about a bike's geometry without actually talking numbers and using buzzwords like 'tight' or 'aggressive' and just leaving that in the air like those are universally desirable characteristics...

that guy knows nothing about bikes or riding them.

oh, today i looked at yet another room off craigslist so i can move yet another time. and i traded my bike and spare parts for credit towards a real mountain bike.

I found out that the Giro Air Attack Shield helmet that Santa gave me is Da Bomb in the snow and sleet. The frozen stuff just bounces off the shield.

My buddy came in from Chicago and proposed to his girlfriend. Hung out with them for the day and took some pictures.

Did she say no and then you had to take photos all day to avoid the awkwardness?

I have a small group of friends doing yoga at my house on Sundays now. It's pretty rad. I'm also cleaning up an abandoned house to squat in until I move to Alaska for the summer.

Why DVD? A few of those are available on Blu-ray and Class of 84 arrives in April? Just curious because I see you nabbed Phantom on Blu.

What gear ratio are you running on your bike? Looks pretty tall for practical brakeless street use
