instead I get to put myself through a 3-4hr road ride instead. yay.

I only recently have become really annoyed at this statement. If it's 100% there is no chance. Weather verbiage is the worst. I catch myself repeating phrases like that often.

After a bunch of head ache inducing calls, reunited with my bike now. I was starting to hope it was gone for good, since I was already trying to work the numbers on a thunderdrome build.

My road ride was enjoyable. I was going to ride either way, but driving and paying to ride (race) isn't my cup of tea if it will be dangerous or not fun.

a new 17 degree stem
bullhorns with no drop
and I better get some cooler brake levers while I'm at it; when in reality my current handlebar setup is perfectly fine.
Nevermind the fact that I'm already planning to buy/bought:
new cranks and BB (installed this weekend)
Phils x Archetypes
SSM Concor saddle

I have about 4 mountain bike builds and maybe 6 road builds that are all probably feasible, but would absolutely kill my wallet.

Got a package in the mail earlier than expected, so I set up the new cockpit for the Shogun -- Nitto quill and B115. Need to decide on bartape now.
Gonna be nice to get this one back on the road.

Glad you were able to keep the rubber side down.

I decided last night that for aesthetic reasons, my stem should be perfectly horizontal. Which means I need:
a new 17 degree stem
bullhorns with no drop
and I better get some cooler brake levers while I'm at it; when in reality my current handlebar setup is perfectly fine.

Swapped out some modernish 105 calipers with some period correct DA ones on one of my bikes; ended up adding weight. The trickle down effect is real.
