Looking to upgrade, suggestions?
Hey y'all, first time posting. So, recently I won a India Pure Fix at my job and turned it into a SS. I'm loving commuting around Brooklyn with it, but I want to replace it with something worth putting money into. Something a little lighter, better parts etc. I don't want to spend more than $500 right now since I'm just getting back into things, so I figured a used bike would be the way to go.
I've been in contact with this guy Mercier Kilo TT Pro and I'm thinking about going for it and just selling my Pure Fix in turn.
Is the Kilo TT Pro worth that price used? I've talked him down to $350 for it fyi
Other postings i've seen:
Custom Lightweight Single Speed Bike
iro fixed gear bike (I've emailed this guy but no response yet)

If it fits I'd pay 300 for it. It's nothing special but would make a good bike for riding around town and locking up.

Oh I forgot the measurements! 53cm (c-c) is 56cm(c-t) with TT of 548mm and standover of 31.5 inches
I'm 5'10.5" and my inseam is 33-34" (did my own measurements there so the inseam might not totally be accurate)

A brand new Kilo TT Pro is $399.00. Seems odd to pay 350 for a bet up used one.

Nope. Mercier Singlespeed Track Bikes - Kilo TT PRO
Edit: Oops, wrong year, you are correct.
Still, why is a guy selling a used bike for the same price as a new one? Lame.
The OP has lots of options for his budget.

You need to pay attention. That is a clearance sale, and only 2 sizes are left. The regular price is $449.95.

So do you guys think $350 for a used Kilo TT Pro isn't worth it?

Yeah, that's a bit high, especially considering it's a bit dinged up and those bar/stem/grips are really nasty.

Didn't you lot fight a war with lots of bangs and battles about that?
(Seriously, I've read a few historical texts about your civil war and it beggars belief that European generals fought WW1 the way they did. War is a seriously stupid way to sort out disagreements and the people in charge don't seem to learn from them)

Bumping this because I'm probably going to get this guy
IRO Mark V with lots of upgrades
Took it for a spin today and it seems to fit me perfectly. Need to replace the tubes but that's no biggy.
Before I throw down for it though do you guys think it's worth the $500?

Well, Id get the kilo imo. From there, i would upgrade contact points on the bike first. This means getting a saddle that fits you, getting appropriate pedals, either toeclips that fit you or some nice clipless pedals, then getting a good handlebar you like and blowing atleast $20 on some nice bar tape.
