Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

So, do prescription glasses go over helmet straps, or under them?

Under for me. Otherwise, they are likely to fall off.

Under or you have to remove glasses every time you take helmet off.

Rec Specs Maxx from Sears....

Sports glasses.
I went went Clear as I ride at night.

Was wearing them when I crashed last year...No damage to the glasses.

Far sighted but wear progressive transitions that have larger lenses. Gives better protection and the bigger lens gives more coverage which is super important when your head is low as your looking through the top of the lens. I also use a strap to hold snug (rubber bands work in an emergency). Modern lens coatings are super hard and when I purchased mine (Costco), I got the best lens treatment.

THE RULES!!!!!!

I use contacts whenever I'm going on a longer ride. That way I get to use my sweet oakleys. Commuting or just messing around, I just keep my prescription glasses on.

Always riding with my prescription glasses on, and they saved my eyes quite a few times already. Tree brenches, bugs... Perfect vision and protection... 2 in 1.
Will never replace it with contacts...

Nothing like getting blowing dust and dry contacts. I've worn glasses forever, and tried contacts several times. Now it's glasses only. The only downside is rain on perscription lenses and fogging in MN winters. So I used goggles a couple times this last winter and that worked so well I suspect I'll carry them for those summer commutes when there is a chance of getting blasted by rain.

Too much color already. Gold would probably clash with the black and red.
