Hello Tampa Bay!!!!!

Moose here, new to the forum and just wanted to say hi!

These have been of incredible value to me on my never ending quest to repair and generally "make pretty" my small collection of old turd bikes nobody wanted to mess with anymore. lol

That's my M.O. you see, and in a roundabout way, how I recycle. And a bit masochistic.

So don't freak out if I post some weird questions, or expound upon why I'm putting $100 cranks on a bike worth $50 at best.

I like old stuff, and take pride in rolling around on a 10 to 30 year old bikes.

^^
Sorry, don't have a link. Best way to explain is to go north on the Suncoast Pkwy, get off on SR 52, go north on Shady Hills Rd. to Crews Lake. We met there and jumped on the Suncoast Trail and did the up and back to 98 ~ 55 miles. Nice little rollers, fun part of the Suncoast which can be a bit boring, but very few interuptions which allows for a fast ride.

Funny, a guy rode with our group in Tampa on Tuesday eve and also had 3 flats. Wonder if it was the same guy?

Much more scenic ride today in San Ann.

If you are interested in joining a group ride, go to meetup.com and look up either grupetto or chain gang cycling. You have to request to join to see the rides. Two fun groups, sometimes very spirited rides, sometimes more laid back. Depends on who shows up.

There is a bike path the runs on the west side of the Suncoast Pkwy. There are no tolls and very few crossroads, which makes for great training. The south end is very flat, but the north end, north of SR 50 to 98 has some nice rolling hills. You can view it on Google Maps.
