Orlando, Charleston and points between

Heading your way later this month for some off-the-Canadian season riding, flying into Orlando, and riding in the Charleston area (along with tourism, food and stuff like that).

Any recommendations on must-see bike stores (road bike not mountain bike) or other must-do things?

(Oh, and any guidance on end-March weather would be much appreciated)

Weather should be pretty good but very windy.
No shortage of good resturants in the Orlando area, all types of food
Best bike shop in Orlando is Orange Cycle in College Park
Do you plan to bring a bike with you
Do you plan to ride any in the Orlando area, if so I can offer suggestions. Many great trails and some good road riding with short climbs in central FL about 20 miles from Orlando. Lots of good clubs that you can ride with if that is your thing.

I am bringing a Friday, biking buddy will rent when we get to Charleston, so if I ride before then it will be shake-out rides only. I realise to my horror that I have not even taken the Friday out of its case for over a year. I wonder if all the bits are still there.

Will definitely check out Orange Cycle.

Orange Cycles - best selection.

LocoMotion in Baldwin Park (Orlando area) - best service. Also rents bikes.

David's World is two blocks away from Orange Cycles - decent road store as well, recently expanded

March weather is definitely shorts, not tights, and bring a thin shell jacket to stave off occasional drizzle.

Welcome to the South!

Mikes Bikes on James Island has a very radical collection of bicycles. There are two bike shops in the downtown area, i've never been to them. Biking in Charleston is huge with the colleges. Charleston is booming right now with amazing restaurants you honestly can't go wrong going to any of them. Avoid Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, I honestly believe it's a tourist trap of a restaurant. Defiantly walk to the battery, go over to Vendu range and see the waterfront park and swing on the bench swings near sunset. King street has all the shopping you can dare to stand. If you really want to be like a local catch a show at The Music Farm on Ann street.
