SoCal Cross Fever #1 (MT SAC)
CX racing is so fun to watch. The action is right there, in your face. I think I'm going to give it a try!
There are some pics. I will post more during the week at BicycleFriends.com

Someone here in BF has this as their signature:
Cyclocross: a bike race made as stupid as possible; yet people still do it.
They aren't actually racing on the Mount Sac cross-country course, are they? My XC used to race at meets there and there were steeeep sections on that course.

I really liked the course and did about as good as I've ever done - I even almost lapped a guy.
Here's what my GPS showed, it cuts some of the corners and such; but the overall is there.

I can't remember if it was last year or the year before at Mnt. Sac, but there was a guy in front of me on a cyclo cross bike in a very bumpy single track portion. I had to go around as he was slow in that section. Every one else had mountian bikes. I think he finished descent though.

I actually have tons of pictures. I plan to unload all of them in the next couple of days. I want to do SoCal Cross Fever #3. What is the cost to race? Is there membership fees or etc???

Riding like its 1990
About $35 gets you racing.
DO IT. It's fun. I plan on doing much more of it. I wanted to go to that one but it didn't work out. Not sure if I can make this next one either.
