Genaro, drive out and do the loop. That will do your self better to get more elevation then distance anyway.
I am hiking C2C (San Jacinto) on Saturday 21 miles 10,500ft. Sunday if I have the legs I will do Baldy road as far as I can.

Gung ho! What's the C2C?

GF bringing her bike down this weekend, so we'll probably just cruise PCH between Oceanside Harbor and La Jolla, maybe a dip Eastward on Elfin Forest Road to get a little bit of altitude. Just sprained my wrist, so I don't mind taking it easy with her.

C2C stands for Cactus to Clouds. You start in Palm Springs where there are cactus (500ft) and hike to the top of San Jacinto where there are clouds which is roughly 11,000ft.

Haven't ridden in 10 days now....getting seriously antsy. Dunno where I'm gonna ride, and I don't care as long as I get out somewhere!

Feeling it! I've ridden two whole times this month. I think I'm going to go ride in traffic tonight just to get my legs moving. I hope my lights are charged.

Rode to Morro Hills and the McDonalds on Olive Hill. Brand new slurry seal on Morro Heights.

Came home on Holly Lane. There's a bunch of DG and gravel dumped on it and it wasn't all compacted. I got into some soft stuff at the bottom, stood up to power through it and started spinning with no weight on the rear wheel. Luckily I lived to tell about it.

Will ride the OCRR Club Ride (Gold level: https://www.ocrebels.com/spreadsheets/SaturdayGold.pdf ) on Sat. morning, then we have the GMR Night Ride Sat. evening, so that should be a fun day.

Sunday I'm actually not planning to ride since my wife tells me that there's actually more to life than just cycling (really?). Okay, trying to reduce by cycling addiction without giving it up (or anything close to that).

Rode San Diego Creek Trail, Back Bay, and Shady Canyon this morning. They've resurfaced SDCT, and it's nice.

A touch of Santa Ana wind today... the flight path for planes coming in to SNA/JWA was over Back Bay today (the opposite of the usual direction).

I was very glad to get out and ride today.

the usual this weekend (cabrillo national monument, balboa park, mission bay, la jolla) as i work. have mon/tues/wed off tho and
plan on hitting the san diego backcountry all 3 days. haven't been out there since early summer. weekdays are better anyway
traffic-wise for palomar, lake henshaw, mesa grande, banner grade, kitchen creek and the laguna/cuyamaca triangle.

Kind of a boring Escondido loop today but still good to get out on a ride.

Hodges is looking pretty dry these days...
