1 1/4" Threaded stem suppliers?
I'm trying to find a way to raise the handlebars, w/o getting new bars.
Steering tube is 1 1/4", threaded.
Option that I would LOVE - But can't be located (www or lbs)
A) to find an 1 1/4" threaded stem with an extended long rise. (the one that came with the bike is 100mm - short)
Options considered, but I don't love:
B) Using a problem solvers type shim, and use a 1 1/8" (25.4mm) stem. Gives me good flexibility in height adjustment options, but not structural strength (this is what I'm currently using).
C) Converting to a quill stem adapter -

Can't find anything that extends more than 110mm. Further more, clamp stems that attach to this adapter wont add much more rise.
D) finding a quill riser like this -

But in the 1 1/4"(28.6mm) dimension. Not a very elegant solution, but would work.

One option is to get a new fork with a 1.25 threadless steerer, then you can access Santana's OEM offerings (which aren't cheap, to be sure).

Yet another option is a Chris King Devolution headset which will allow you to use standard 1-1/8" fork and stem.
I know its not an inexpensive solution. Just thought I would throw it out there.

I may have an old OEM Santana threaded stem kicking around in my parts box. I'll try to remember to take a look. I also have a couple of OEM Santana threadless 1.25" forks if you are interested. Only catch is that the steerer tubes are cut to fit a small-size frame. If you are interested, let me know and I'll measure the steerers exactly.
