Funny but helpful blog on using natures toilets

This is comical, but based on my past experiences very good.

I kind of think that crapping in a body of water is a bit rude. I know that there are probably worse things dumped into it, and I have probably been desperate enough to have considered it if there was something to jump into, but on the whole, not a classy move.

What stuck out at me was the distraction approach mentioned in connection with touring in Canada. Several years ago I did Velo Quebec's Le Grande Tour, which is a supported trip. One "cultural" difference I noticed was that guys had no qualms about pulling over to the side of the road and pissing right in the grass even when there were woods they could have easily walked into. Didn't matter that women were riding past. Never heard a woman complain.

Method #4 "feeding the fish" is incorrect in the difficulty rating, and not explained very well. It seems the author lists it for No.2 without any prior practical experience.

Its difficulty is at least 3/10, as one has to maintain a slight forward body tilt while simultaneously applying a very gentle breast-stroke swimming moves during the ...ahem... more difficult moments. This calls for some coordination and agility.
If this is not done, one may end up with short or more-often - prolonged - skin contact with the ...product, the product being lighter than water, and having the tendency to ascend to surface straight up.

No need to ask me how I know this.
