Hanging your bike in your home office

Does anyone hang their bike in their home office? My disc trucker is too cool to hang in the basement and right now it is leaning on a wall in my office. Any photos?

We have two bikes hanging in the dining area of our small house. We have a system that braces on the floor and ceiling and has "hooks" that allow you to hang the bikes level by the top tubes.

I use a Tri-stand for my Farga and Casseroll. These are available new but both mine came from Craigslist. You roll the front/rear wheel into the track on the bottom and a spring loaded arm holds the wheel/bike upright. I also have an old "hooped" stand with wheels that came from the bike shop. It's not as stable but it works. Got it for free from a local shop that was chucking it.

When I was young, about 100 years ago, I lived close to the mountains of Washington. We received a lot of snow, but the roads were usually clear and I could ride most of the year. Our house was heated with wood, and an oil stove. That kept most of the house warm except for our bedroom. I was racing at the time and had a steel framed high-end competition bike. To prevent condensation from forming inside the tubes when I brought it in from the cold, I would keep it in our bedroom. Luckily, I had an understanding wife

That bike was a true work of art compared to the TIG welded bikes that we have today, with hand cut lugs,531 Reynolds tubing, and a superb paint job. However, as my wife often reminds me when I point out a new scratch on one of her bikes, "they are just tools".

My "office" is no doubt a lot different than most other peoples, but most of my bikes hang in my studio. It is nice to have your favorites where you can look up and see them while working.
This is an old photo, need to update it as most of those bikes have changed a lot in the last two years. The studio is still a hazardous mess.

Are you married? My wife would never let me keep a bike inside the house, let alone hang it on the wall.

Dear 120 year old, this makes me think of the old trick of putting a camera into a plastic bag before coming in from using it outside for a long time in really cold temps. In the bag, the cold camera warms up the air inside the sealed bag, and the condensation forms on the inside of the bag, not all over your camera. Still takes a while for the camera to warm up but at least it isnt covered in water. The worst condensation problem I ever saw was taking some photos outside a chicken farm at probably -20c, then coming into the chick area (many hundreds of them) where it was heated to something like 30c, boy did it ever cause fogging issues on the lenses. Not great for a film camera, but certainly not good for a digital body if you change a lens inside and all the condensation forms on the inside of the camera.

Oh, and I usually have a couple of bikes hanging vertically from hooks in the garage; for the last few winters there is one on a trainer in the basement, and the rest out on a covered balcony locked together.

All of my art pieces are hung in a warm, fully drywalled and painted garage.

Barely room for the cars.
