Yet another rant.

If people here at my workplace switched their 20 oz bottles of soda with water or similar, we wouldn't need a stupid walking initiative to try and get people to move.

Just saying.

What do you have against walking?

Switching from soda to water doesn't raise the heart rate at all.

I get the point of your rant, but diet and exercise are separate parts of good health. People should do both.

I have zero problems with walking. In fact, I think that the walking initiative is pretty cool, and I wish I could do it (given the distance of my commute and how far I've had to walk in the past, I would definitely give a lot of people a run for their money...except the runners).

What I was saying was that there are obvious dieting problems that seem to be in the majority here. Again, it's a rant; it doesn't have to logically follow.

Never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lie down.
