Recovery time after above Lactate Threshold efforts
What sort of time do people leave after a substantial anaerobic workout? LA book I read says 48 hours after 45-60 over LT before going at Lactate intervals
I did a 3:30 ride intensive endurance with 70 minutes over my Lactate Threahold Power (10 minute intervals) three days ago. Tried to go for more LT training in the form of short intervals but the legs were not interested in holding this power zone.
Is this over-reaching or normal recovery time? I'm 30 with a LT power of 278W

That was normal for me at 55. That's a long, hard ride you did. If I do one of those every weekend, I get better results by mostly doing Z2 endurance during the week, though I'll put a few short, hard efforts in those. But everyone is different. I found that most of those training books were written for a more genetically endowed individual than I am.

Thanks CF/boy! I reckon zone 2/3 is all I could take right now.
No point asking the race crew, you know that works!! Nobody is gonna say they are hurting. Showing weakness is not cool... In reality everyone is sucking up protein like it's going out of fashion and doing recovery rides.
