Cycleops Fluid 2 "TT" Trainer?

A friend is offering to sell me his old trainer which he says is about 7 or so years old, little used. He says the model is "Cycleops Fluid 2 TT" This is a discontinued model, I guess.

My question is: If I were to buy a current model, would it be "better" or will this thing be essentially the same in terms of resistence curve, noise level, reliability, etc.

I currently have a Cycleops magnetic trainer (~4-5 years old) which I'm more or less satisfied with. I am looking for an improvement on this in terms of noise and resistence level, but will probabaly keep both so my wife and I don't have to keep swiching our bikes on and off a single trainer.

Thanks for any advice you can give.
