I put this together a bout 2-3 weeks ago and finally finished it this weekend. Most everything is brand spanking newish (Collected parts for a year)

Full 10 speed Ultegra (DA Shifters and Vision Levers). The Crank is some kinda whatever that is claimed to be "ultegra level", an R700 Compact, but to tell ya the truth it is pretty damn good. So good In fact, I bought another for my CAAD9 that I just completely upgraded too! Anyways...its fast, its comfy and except for the greatly ******** looking rear cutout that goes no where near the wheel its pretty damn good looking!...to me at least... ha ha ha!

I'm just trying to score a non retail priced 404 for the front and I'm set:

At last!

Well I finally got her finished. Apologies to all of those kind people who showed an interest in my progress. Only been on one shakedown ride so far but with a few minor adjusts should work well. Bathroom scale weight 19lbs.

I don't even do tri's, I run like a duck and swim like a dog... might do a duo with my wife doing the running though and can't find anywhere else to post this shiny new thing.

indeed. FSA SLK Lite with an MTB crankskin I had laying around. I had the same crank on my roadbike until the BB wore out a bit early and swaped it out for a used DA one. This is an '09 Jamis so no BB30, which means more cranks choices ---- hence the crankskins to keep these shiny and marketable.

Wheelbuilder was great! Mine came with the box bent and had a bit of a dimple in them, Wheelbuilder sent me a second set without any issue (just sent them photos of the damage).

If you don't plan on also racing any road time trials run under UCI rules, the wheel covers are a great cheaper aero addition for any competitor. Nearly the same benefits as a carbon disk for far less cost!

Just remember to tape the edge where the rim interfaces with the cover for best results...

Nice bikes everyone! I'll get around to posting mine again shortly - having to change the aerobars due to racing road ITTs and the Vision Techs not compliant to the recent UCI's update including bars in the 3:1 aspect ratio rule plus a 'new' crank set.

Neither Vintage nor Classic, yet...

...definitely a first for me: a 98 Cannondale MultiSport 1000 Tri/Sport bike. I mostly build vintage Cannondale road bikes but found this NOS MultiSport frame over the winter and just couldn't pass it up, especially with the matching optional aluminum Aero fork. Didn't know at the time that it required 650C wheels, but found a used set of Velomaxes off a 2005 Cervelo. Unfortunately the end caps were gone, so a machinist friend cut a set for me (thanks, Reggie- they're PERFECT).

Modern 105 RD and FD, 2nd gen 105 BioPace crank with cup & cone BB, 105 brakes, SRAM 8 speed cog & chain, Shimano 8 speed Ultegra barcons, reversed generic aero brake levers, brand new Scott saddle, new Origin8 stem and bars, and Planet Bike handlebar wrap. Bulletproof, comfortable.

Rides nice but I won't be keeping it (Me? A triathalon? Are you kidding?), instead some lucky soul will pick it up off of CL for the $540 +/- I have in it in parts.

Interesting geometry, with steep seat tube & laid back head tube. If I understand correctly, it's designed to save the rider's legs for the running part and make the bike stable with a high percentage of weight on the front wheel. And, one assumes, the new owner will yank that seat up a bunch and probably put on a set of aero bars.

(Sorry about the blue cast to the photos. I had the white balance set wrong on my camera & didn't have the time to run out and shoot a new set)

Thanks =)

looking to get a Quarq Cinqo, but I'm probably gonna get rid of the 404 powertap wheel I have before I pull the trigger on the Cinqo, probably getting Joule 2.0 with it as well.

Regards

here's my rig (mostly) ready for this race season.

it's my same old 2006 Specialized Transition Comp frame, 105 components, FSA Vision TT bars, SMP Strike saddle, WheelBuilder disc cover, and obviously a 808 up front.
custom bike fit by John Cobb!
*note: bottle cages are purely for training, will be replacing them w/ just an aerodrink for races. and taillight is for commuting, will be removed for racing.

direct link(full size): https://img704.imageshack.us/img704/3...ribike2010.png

upgrade plans for later this year:
- new aero bars w/ flat or s-bends
- DA derailluers, cassette, chain rings & cranks
- carbon frame

After getting tired of just cheering my brother and dad on in their Ironman's, I decided to get off my ass and start training. Signed up for my very first race a month ago (Santa Cruz olympic in Sep) and I've had an awesome past 3 weeks of run and swim training. Problem was that my only bikes are a 28 pound freeride bike and a fixed conversion, and I promised the wife that this new "hobby" wouldn't become a money pit till after I'd done a few races. Sold the fixed to some hipster on craigslist and watched the same site for the last 2 weeks for something to come up. Sure enough this one did. 08 Scattante XRL frame, SL1 carbon fork, Ultegra and 105 somponents, and Vision bar setup. The guy used it for 9 months in his first year of tri's, and bought a new bike. He sold it to me for $475. We're the exact same height and inseam, so at first feel, it fits great. Just got it today and gave it a quick cleaning. Pretty much perfect condition except for some tiny scuffs and scratches. Just waiting on the shoes and cleats I ordered to get here. Can't wait to go on a nice long ride. Weighs in at 18.4 pounds.

Just got this bike, found it on craigslist got it for $340 (no it's not stolen)! 1999 Quintana Roo Tequilo, Ultegra components, French made Michelin Carbons (look new), syntace aerobars. Was hardly ever ridden, took to LBS and they checked the chain...original chain was still like new! Had a schwinn seat on it?!? so until I find a better one I threw an old brooks seat on it, we'll see how it does. Needs some adjusting, gonna flatten out the aerobars

Thought it was beautiful when I saw it, rides fast, very very light. Crappy cell phone pic.

That P4 looks a little odd with the upturned stem and all the spacers underneath it.
Hope you enjoy riding it though.
