Oval concepts slam aero bars
Who here is using these? Apparently they are designed for use with road bike geometry. I rode last year with clip ons on my cyclocross bike for TT and TRI, and am building a new bike for next year. Likely will see some Tri action. I was thinking about going with these bars instead of trying to swap between TT and road position if these do really allow a good position.
I understand the muscle groups thing for forward seat position and tri position in general, but at this point, i am not a competative age grouper or anything, just enjoy tri's. That doesn't mean i am not looking for personal bests etc.
I was looking into these bars with the stem mounted system (might be a bit pricey), but in the summer, i ride 1 TT per week (mondays) and ride road setup most of the rest of the week unless it is the week of a tri or something, so the stem system seems like it comes on/off as a whole, and id just relplace the stem cap for road riding and not have to worry as much about being sure my bar position is the same each time.
Thoughts? I have been doing lots of google reading on stem mounted bars. I have some cheap clip ons,and will likely be using aluminum bars, so the compatability should be fine. Just curious if the concept behind the SLAM is actually legit, which would make me consider changing to their system.

The oval system is cool. but not super easily interchangeable. Remember that all the hardwear and extensions add a lot of weight, so installing and taking off the stem face plate with that stuff on it would be a little tricky.
If I were you, I may be inclined to get the "under only" face plate. Then get the extensions that allow you to attach the arm pads to them, and when you didn't want your extensions leave the face plate on, but take the extensions out(as simple as loosening one bolt and sliding them out I would imagine). Then you just have two discrete loops under your handlebar while not in use.
