Buying aero bars...
I'm currently looking into buying some aero bars for my bike, but most of the bars I'm looking at seem to just clip onto the handlebars I already have. So, are they secure, will they support my weight?
These are the bars I was thinking of getting: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tranz-X-Tri-...=ISSCIR1QWMQES Are they worth it, or do I need to save up and splash out a little bit more?
Thanks guys.

You did not mention what your intent was to get the aero bars. Some get them who ride long distant and would like more options of position while riding the bike. It will also help with fatigue and allow you to be more efficient on the bike. Others want them to do short triathlons. The ones you have picked out are fine. Now, keep in mind, some carbon road bars do not allow for aero bars due to the chance of breaking or cracking the bars. I tend to advise folks who have carbon bars to shy away of clip on aero bars for that reason. If you have aluminum bars, you should be ok. Just mount as described my manufacture directions.

They look very similar to the ones I got for my first Tri earlier this year, which coincidentally came up on the "people who looked at this also looked at;" part of your link.

I would say the ones you've picked out will be fine. Most aero bars that you see on the road are of the clip/screw/clamp-on type, it's not a budget decision. Even in the mountain TT in the Tour this year, almost all of the GC contenders rode the 2 climbs on a standard road bike with aeros bolted on and only some switched to a TT bike for the final descent.
Get the bars. If your bike can support your weight, the bars will too. Play around with their position (not while the bike is moving) and yours. Make sure you have everything tightened up all the way before riding. Enjoy.
