Since it's not waterproof, what good is it?

Now I'm re-thinking whether I want it or not. I'd pictured using it to keep the leather saddle dry from rain and condensation. Looks like it would be a good sun cover and maybe enough to keep condensation from touching it- but not rainproof. Hmmmm.......
This info is correct and Brooks covers are not waterproof. I had to proof mine before use. Crazy I know.
