I'm not sure how to describe this but I think the steering on my bike may be too loose. Meaning, if I were to hold up the front end of the bike, the handle bar and front wheel (and handlebar) flip flop from left to right very easily (so that the front wheel is perpendicular to the rest of the bike) and could possibly turn around 360degrees. Of course, the brake wires and stop it from doing that.

I'm a new road biker so, I'm not sure this is normal for a road bike. I bought the bike partly preassembled so, I had to put the front wheel in. Their instructions they provided were limited so I'm not sure if some type of adjustment needs to be done or if this is normal!

I tried to ride the bike but because the front of the bike would turn so easily, I didn't feel I had enough control of the bike and felt uncomfortable riding. I'd like to fix it but don't know how. Help!
