There are next to no issues with a Piccolo (especially a Piccolo) attached to a tandem. You just have to remember that its back there when making really tight turns. We've used one with our tandem and our Triplet. Other than the odd car driving by so everyone inside it can gawk and/or take pictures of our ride we have experienced no problems at all. )
