I learned this the hard way! I started running last winter when an injury forced me off the bike and I struggled through a few overuse injuries before I realized that my lungs were ready for way more than my feet and legs were.

Also, running is definitely not helping my cycling, but it's fun so I still do it in the winter. I'm still exercising six days a week (3 running, 3 cycling) but now people I used to drop on climbs are keeping up
