...and not every one wants to. It isn't only about time and money, some who have both the time and the money may still prefer overnight tours.
While my favorite tour length is a few months, I really have no desire to leave for a year or more at a clip. I could swing it if I wanted to, but just don't want to. Some may have no desire to go for longer than overnight. Others like me may not want to do a tour that short, preferring to do day rides if I can't get away for at least a week and preferably a bit more. It is all good as long as it is what you want.
I would like to have seen the poll allow more than one choice though. I would have picked week, month, and several months and left the others unchecked.
