Well I was riding bikes yesterday just to get out and think about what I'm going to keep in the stable and how I'm going to use the keepers. I aired up the tires on the Fuji Special Road Racer and took it for a spin at 90-psi. The tires were low when I bought it. After tightening down the quick release on the rear wheel, it really smoothed out the ride and became very well behaved. I was amazed at how spirited the ride was. I don't know if it was the alloy rims vs. the steel wheels that I'm used to, or just plain ole Fuji quality, but it propelled me up the incline like nothing. After the ride I think I'll keep the bars how they are because it was fairly comfortable and upright. I couldn't shift the fd and the rd shifting was bad, and the rear brakes are frozen. All this is easily fixable with new cables. I just really liked how responsive the bike was to leaning and cornering. This is going to be a good ride when I'm finished with it. I think it's my 'speedy comfort bike'.
