Got the CycleOps Magneto and like it a lot. I find I can squeeze more resistance out of it if I simulate low cadence/high intensity hill climbs right after high cadence speed work. It's great if you just want to climb on and shut your mind down.
It feels like there is a lot of vibration at speed, but it is supposedly less then wind trainers. I live in an apt. so I put a piece of plywood under the training mat. Got the front block since my neck was killing me without it.
I'd try a lot if you can. I think a lot of the satisfaction comes from your personal feel/needs.
