Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;

Over the years, I have owned numerous Sunshine, Campagnolo, Normandy/Atom/Maillard, and Shimano hubs. I have broken one Shimano front hub flange, broken two Normandy rear axles, and bent Normandy front and rear axles. The French bearing races also seem to be softer than the Campagnolo. Having said that, I also note that the high-flange top-of-the-line Normandy Luxe Competition hubs I put on my UO-8 do look as good as Campagnolo and seem to function well so far.
