This is the perfect Donor set of wheels for a better frame! The "crimped-in-place" dropouts dont even compare to your bottom of the barrel, entry level Raleigh, Peugeot, or any Japanese bike! The rims appear to be alloy- a significant mprovement for any entry level bike. With repacement hollow axles and a set of skewers installed this could make a a decent set of wheels if true and straight. The rest of the machine is marginal, the brakes being basic entry-level OK. But the derailleurs will shift ever so slightly better than entry level Huret/Schwinn approved or Simplex Prestige, but are easily improved upon in any old parts bin. Just my $.02
