Accessories: Ray-ban wayfarers or (later) aviators
Transportation: Public, old VW, old Saab, at various times. Had I owned a bike, it would have been a Schwinn cruiser.
Music: Ramones, Psychedelic Furs, late 70's punk, plus obscure local bands with names like Glass Eye, Poison 13, Limespiders etc. Preferrably from a used record store in the Haight.
Literature: Nothing that wasn't a "Penguin Classic." Orwell, Camus, Vonnegut, Kerouac.
TV: Didn't own one and proud of it.
Housing: Funky basement apartment.
Job: Air Force, Macy's stock clerk, political activist, retail, delivery, warehouse.
Does anyone remember the term used to describe people like me? I sure don't. I don't think there was one.
I dunno. But this type is still very alive. Sounds like my high school friends.
