I would dump a bike that did not fit. You can easily find a replacement Cannondale if you get the itch to go back.

Fit is first. I always buy used, so I would be open to many different brands (I like almost all of the Japanese brands from the 1980s along with Trek). You will surely find several in your size.

The great thing about buying used at the right price, is if you change your mind, you can get all of your money out of the bike, and buy another. Buy new and you will immediately take a bath on depreciation.

And it's a lot easier to "justify" N + 1!!!
