When you turn the DT, metal is contacting metal. There will be noise. The level of percieved noise is determined by a million things that include but are not limited to the design of the chain and other DT parts, the state of wear, the amount and type of lube, chainline, chain tension, the ability of your wheels and frame to resonate sound, and the intensity of ambient noise.

Keep your DT lubed and clean, your chainline straight, not too much chain tension, and replace parts as they wear. Stop worrying about noise.
