I have one and love it and have never frozen my hands. It gets no colder than a refrigerated beer. Even without gloves it is not a problem.

Something else to consider. The Air Chuck SL is metal. Most inflators are plastic. Co2 cartridges are pressurized. If a plastic inflator were to develop a crack, I wouldn't want to have it in my hands if it failed.
