I was out there about 3 months ago with the inlaws, my brother-in-law rides a mountain bike and I talked him into doing the red rocks. the family was going to lunch...we headed out at 11:30 on a sunday. it was a strong headwind and slightly uphill all the way into the park. my brother-in-law keep checking his cell phone, but the coverage was spotty. it was time to ride. out on the loop we finally hit the peak and we were also getting a tailwind! on the way back I was flying! great ride, but that climb is hard with a headwind.

we got back at 4pm, we were starving and the family was still at lunch and they were able to bring us some food. tough ride with a headwind!
