I learned long ago that magazine reviews of cameras were fairly worthless because none of the high-dollar cameras actually sucked, so every review was glowing. Even if model A was clearly better than model B, you wouldn't find that in the review, you'd just find each described in glowing terms, and the cameras that did suck simply weren't reviewed. I suppose that might carry over to the cycling world as well.
