strangely enough, custom paint is a big part of how i make my living, but i have never painted my own bike. i have lots of ideas...just haven't pulled the trigger(heh) yet. i think, for me, it has a little something to do with seeing the effects of a few MX crashes on helmets i've done. but the main factor is that, as the painter, you see every flaw in your work whether it actually exists or not. 99% of the people who see your work will never see or understand that the flaws are even there, but you see them and catalog them as they happen, no matter how insignificant they are, and every single time you look at that helmet or motorcycle or car, your eyes are instantly drawn to them. drives me frikkin' batty.
if i do get around to painting my bike, it's going to be simple, not too heavy on graphics like i typically do..something classy, but definitely a satin finish.
