MkIIIs were built by Raleigh under the Moulton name, so quality of some welds is a little less careful. Shares a lot of parts with other Raleighs of the time which makes finding spares easier though.
I've never seen particularly poor welds on a Mk III. The main frame joints were brazed. Bad welds were a hallmark of Kirkby built F Frames.
